    My name is Aly, and I am also called Eliska. I answer to both names. And now I am going to pride myself a little bit. The protocol of my scenting abilities test says that I am a very good prepared lady dog with excellent hunting qualities. The judge told my guide literally: „This dog gets the message better than yourself can do“. My master was not happy hearing that. However, we did a perfect job both together. We passed the tests off the leash. The huntsmen present there were highly amazed at my performance and most probably had to amend their opinion about the reported Beaglian disobedience.
     I am, indeed, a hunter with heart and soul. Once I get into a huntingground, on my own account, I immediately start to pick up scents and follow them like mad. Sometimes I got into troubles because of that. The worst case was as I fell into a deep excavation out of which I was unable to crawl out alone. I remained there five days getting wet under the rain and becoming awfully hungry. As I am a hero, I began to whimper on the fifth day only. Fortunately, people heard me, my master came and I was taken out of the hole. My master and his wife had thought that they would never see me again. It was the first time that I saw some drops rolling down my master's cheeks. I immediately wanted to continue following the track, however, my master stopped me and I had to go home. Another time my enormous appetite was paid for dearly. During a walk with my mistress, I swallowed a poisoned bait placed somewhere against cats. My vet did not want to believe it, despite my worsening physical condition. Two days later, blood tests proved that I was suffering from a liver disease caused by the poisoning. I had a very nasty week, with a lot of medicaments administered to me. I was unable to walk due to the weakness of my feet. My mistress, who had to carry me in her arms, was very worried. On the fifth day, she thought that I would not survive. But I am really very strong. One week later, my health situation began to improve. After two weeks I managed to stand, still unsure, on my own feet. The liver tests showed satisfactory results and I was getting into shape again.
    I have given birth to puppies already three times. I have accomplished my maternal duties always brilliantly and my children were enchanting. Today I am already in retirement and take it much easier now. I do not run away anymore, but all the more I require attention from my mistress. She shares her attention equally among all three of us, but I have the impression that the attention paid to me is a little bit bigger, which ist not surprising as I am the oldest one and, still more important, I was the first one here.
